Steps to Enable Driver Licences for Drivers (for customers who have not enabled driver licences)

If your organisation has disabled the requirement for any driver licencing processes, PoolCar will not create a driver record if the driver licences are turned off. This will impact the user’s ability to make a booking on the PoolCar app as they do not have a driver record.

The below steps outline the process that can be followed to re-enable the driver licence function and enable drivers to use the PoolCar app.

Please note that we do not recommend this setting is turned off as it can cause problems mentioned above, there is a warning under this setting which states the following:

Warning disabling this setting will hide all driver licence fields on the Welcome page and stop the creation of driver records in the Driver Register. This is not recommended - we recommend the alternative process found here that will prevent drivers from entering licence information and allow the system to continue creating driver records.

Re-enable Driver Licences

 

Navigate to the Sysadmin Menu > Account Settings > Application Settings > Legacy

Require drivers licence - set this to YES

Save the page

Now determine which driver licence process you wish to follow, either tracking the licence type, driver name and expiry date, or following our alternative ‘NO LICENCE’ process found here - https://smartrak.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCP/pages/1947828267
