Where is this used? |
Lets take an example where a field team needs an ocean going boat for a six-month project. But some days the weather may be bad, meaning the boat will be sitting in the yard. The boating conditions may be good in the bay, so someone else can book the boat even though the field team have it for the next six months. The Priority Claims page is accessed from the SysAdmin Main Menu, under the Bookings heading. You click on the Add New Claim button on the right of the page to add a vehicle and set the dates the claim is in place and who is holding the claim. Please note that there can only be one claim per asset. Example claim: Registration ABC123 has been claimed from 08/01/2021 to 15/01/2021 When viewing ABC123 in the New booking calendar users will see a message showing who has claimed the vehicle, the date range the claim covers and the Description text. If a user chooses to continue making a booking on the vehicle, that booking will be provisional and will require approval Once approved, the user who made the booking will receive an email to confirm You can view existing Priority Claims in the list of Approval Triggers in the Sysadmin Menu - Set Approval Triggers for Bookings Please note that Priority Claims & Approval Triggers work in the order they have been created, so if there is an Approval Trigger that is configured that will trigger first, then the Priority Claimant will not be sent the approve/decline request. See example below, if a recurring booking is created, as this approval trigger is first on the list and based on all vehicles (demarked by the * in the Licence Plate field), then the approval will be sent to SystemAdmins as this triggers before the Priority claim further down the list.
