The modern user experience in Trip Planning is anticipated to make it easy for users to use the tool without significant hurdles. However, we will walk you through a simple step-by-step guide for users to use Trip Planning. Step 1 – Navigate to the Trip Planning Click on the Trip Planning tab in the top ribbon.
This will take the user to Trip Planning.
A map will be displayed for the user.
Step 2 – Enter Trip Details Enter the Trip destination.
Select the departure time and date
Select departure pool from the dropdown list. This is done after nominating the destination, as users will always be departing from one of your organisation’s pools.
Select the return the time and date Trip Planning supports manual entry for the time. The time intervals are based on the App setting made by the fleet manager.
8. Trip Planning will validate the date and time (i.e. if the user enters a return date before the departing date, the system will generate an error) Step 3 – Vehicle Requirements The user selects the vehicle requirements from a drop-down list. These are optional.
Users can specify zero or multiple requirements to broaden or narrow the search results and press ‘next’.
Step 4 – Select a Vehicle Based on the entered filters, the vehicles will be displayed
After selecting the desired vehicle, the user can select the vehicle and press ‘next’ to add the trip details.
Step 4 – Trip Details The user selects the Cost Centre from a drop-down list.
The user selects the Project Code from a drop-down list.
The user types the purpose of the trip.
The user selects the mandatory fields set by the Fleet Manager
The user clicks the mandatory field box (if any)
The booking is now completed.
Users have had the option to select this booking as recurring. By clicking the checkbox, a new page will open so that the user can choose the details of the recurring booking (daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly) and then confirm the booking
