How do I update vehicle details (name, etc.)?

From time to time you may have to change the vehicle (Resource Name) name shown on the Smartrak map site.

Setting up the names of vehicles for the first time. Default name is the vehicle's rego/licence plate.

You can also update other vehicle information, Make, Model, Year, Vehicle Type, Engine Type etc.

Why?	Change name of an existing vehicle or setting up vehicle names for the first time New dedicated driver now in vehicle and you wish to change the description shown on the screen
The name shown on map screen when viewing your vehicles Name given could be drivers name, vehicle rego, fleet management number or a combination of them all. Up to 25 characters is allowed.
Your company's Smartrak administrator can change the name displayed on the Smartrak map Open your internet web browser or a new tab, go to https://admin.smartrak.co.nz (NZ) or https://admin.smartrak.com.au (Aus) Enter your admin user name and password The administration page will then open up
Click on Manage box on the left hand side to view the options available under here and select Resource info.
Click on the Resource Info tab Select the required vehicle from the Select Resource name drop box Below the Select Resource box, is the Resource name box, you can now change the name here Here is where you can also update other vehicle information - Make, Model, Year, Vehicle Type, Engine Type etc.
