Vehicle is out of action - damage/accident, maintenance

When a vehicle is taken out of action for an extended period of time due to an accident or required maintenance you may need to remove it from the booking calendar temporarily and/or transfer it’s bookings to another vehicle.

To transfer the bookings use the Transfer Bookings page to transfer the bookings on the vehicle to another vehicle.

If this is necessary long-term (ie the vehicle is been written off) you may want to use a very loose ‘to date’ - i.e. some time years in the future to make sure all bookings are transferred.


If a vehicle is temporarily out of action you will want to create a maintenance booking for the time it is out of action to stop people from making new bookings against the vehicle. When the admin/pool manager (depending on system settings) is creating the booking they should select Maintenance from the booking type drop down (in the blue section a the top of the booking form)
