- Log into the Smartrak Admin

- site (NZ or AU)
- Go to Import Export > Garmin POI Creator
- Download the template

- fill with the required information

- Save the file to PC and select Choose File

- Locate and select the POI Template file from PC then select Upload

- Download GPI File
- Save to file
- Plug Garmin into PC via USB

- Open the POI folder on the Garmin to check POI Template file has been saved.
- Unplug Garmin from PC, turn on and check the POIs are successfully loaded:

- POIs will appear on the map as small black squares

- If the square is touched, the name of the POI will appear and vehicle can be route there by pressing Go!

- POIs will populate on the map regardless of whether the vehicle is on an active route or not
