Accessing the KeyMaster cabinet from your computer |
First you will need the IP address of the cabinet. You can ask the IT department for the address, or at the cabinet, check in the Networking menu - note down the numbers on the top row of the table displayed, including the dots (eg. 192.168.0.3). Now you have the IP address, just open up a browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc) and in the address bar type, http://[IP address]:5000 (replace [IP address] with the address you got earlier and hit Enter. So, for the above example we type in: http//192.168.0.3:5000 |

A screen like below will open, asking for a password. |

Your password can be obtained from the Smartrak Service Desk if you do not know it. Key the password in and click on the OK button |

Click on the Setup icon and enter your System Administrator PIN. Now you can check key status reports, configure Check-in or Check-out prompts, check for firmware updates, perform a software reboot, etc. The only thing you won't be able to do remotely is add/remove keys, as these require a physical action |
