Why device?

If the asset is tracked by an OBD-II device, a personal locator (i.e. not an KCS AVL), then the device will show under the Device Management page in Smartrak Admin.

Please note that all of your organisation’s assets will appear in this list, even those that are unassignable.

How do I update the device details?

A Smartrak Client Administrator can change the name displayed on the Smartrak map

  1. Open your internet web browser or a new tab, go to https://admin.smartrak.co.nz (NZ) or https://admin.smartrak.com.au (Aus)

  2. Enter your admin user name and password

  3. Click on Devices on the left hand side and select Management

  4. Locate the required device from the list -enter a rego or current name to filter the records

  5. Click on the Configuration cog to open the settings for this device

  6. Update the Resource Name field (max 25-characters)

  7. Click on Update (note, if no updates have been made then the Update will show Up to date
