What is a g-force?

A g-force (gravitational-force) is a measure of acceleration (acceleration, deceleration, or turning) applied to the AVL unit installed in a vehicle.

G-force (accelerometer) sensors inside the AVL identify aggressive driving patterns, allowing organisations to implement efficient methods to at least reduce, if not put a stop to them altogether.

Monitoring and reducing g-force events can result in the following benefits:

  • eradicate causes of aggressive driving

  • reduce collisions

  • lower maintenance costs

  • prevent fuel wasting

  • improve driver safety

  • decrease your fleet’s environmental footprint
