TILT SWITCH PENDANT USER GUIDE


KEY:

  1. Activity LED (Red)
  2. Control Button (Black)
  3. Panic Button (Orange)

    1. Off position – towards the panic button
    2. On position – towards the aerial

Triggering a Panic Alert
Ensure that the Panic Lock Switch (4) is in the Off position. Squeeze the two Panic Buttons (3) together to trigger an emergency alert.

Triggering a Tilt Alert with Beep
To enable tilt switch: Press and hold the Control Button (2) for approximately five seconds, the pendent will beep twice to confirm that tilt alert with beep is enabled. The Activity LED (1) will also flash.
Sending a tilt alert: When the pendent moves beyond a 45 degree angle from the upright position (upright is when aerial is pointing straight down) for longer than five seconds, a warning tone will sound, then after 15 seconds the tone will stop and an emergency alert will be triggered.
Manual override: If you wish to work for a short time with the Tilt Switch Pendant tilted beyond 45 degrees, then press the Control Button (2) to temporarily disable the tilt switch for five minutes. After this time, the Tilt Switch Pendant will trigger an emergency alert if the Tilt Switch remains past the 45 degree angle. Press the Control Button (2) twice within one second for a delay of 15 minutes.
Disable tilt switch: Press and hold the Control Button (2) for five seconds, the pendant will beep once to confirm that the pendant tilt alert with beep is disabled.


Trigger a Tilt Alert in Silent Mode 
To enable tilt switch: Press and hold the Control Button (2) for seven seconds. The pendant will beep twice after five seconds and then twice again after two seconds to confirm that that tilt alert silent mode is enabled. The Activity LED (1) will also flash. 
Sending a tilt alert: When the pendant moves beyond a 45 degree angle from the upright position (upright is when aerial is pointing straight down) for longer than five seconds, then after 15 seconds an emergency alert will be triggered.

Please Note: When in silent mode there is no audible warning when the device is tilted more than 45 degrees from the upright position. If the device is left in a tilted position it will keep transmitting and the battery will rapidly deplete.
