The Driver Overspeed Severity Report takes the driver information from Checked In bookings in Smartrak Pool Booking and looks at the total % of time and % of distance the driver spent speeding, during the reported period, to understand the scale of the driver’s speeding behaviour.


How to run the Driver Overspeed Severity Report

  • Log into the Smartrak Map site (NZ or AU)

  • Navigate to Reports

  • Select Driver Overspeed Severity Report from the drop down list

  • Select the "Date Range"

Decide if you want to select the following option;"Group
  • This can be run for 'Today', 'Yesterday', 'Last Week', 'Last Month', 'This Year', or you can select your own custom date range using the 'Custom' button and selecting from the pop-up calendar

  • Select the “Type” - either a One-off Report or Saved Report

  • “Group Results" - group the results into

categories 
  • categories of severity

Select the

Selection Mode" - reports can be configured to run on Individual Resources (select which vehicles to report on) or Groups of Resources "Resources"You can select individual vehicles by clicking on them to highlight from the list or click on Select All for all vehicles.
  • Persons” - select the drivers (persons) from Smartrak Pool Booking you wish to report on, you can choose to show Username from selection list or not

Select Download Report (to download into Excel) or View Report (to view on screen

How to Read the Driver Overspeed Severity Reports

If selected Group Results in filter then report will be split into Most Serious, Moderate and Mild Offenses. This is based on the reported sample so a comparison between the drivers selected. If you do not want to see them grouped, the re-run the report without Group Results selected

  • Driver

  • Number of Overspeed Periods

  • Total Duration Speeding (h:mm:ss)

  • Percentage Time Speeding

  • Total Distance Speeding (km)

  • Percentage Distance Speeding

  • Total Distance Driven

  • Max Overspeed (km/h)

  • Average Overspeed (km/h)

  • Max Overspeed Magnitude – the maximum km/hr above the posted speed limit the driver travelled across all speeding events on a given day.

 
  • Average Overspeed Magnitude – the average speed, above the posted speed limit, of the duration of the overspeed period.
