The Driver Overspeed Period Report shows the individual periods of overspeeding with driver information supplied from Checked In bookings in Smartrak Pool Booking, PoolCar, or Driver Login

periods from ibutton or the Smartrak Identify App or assigned drivers.



How to run the Driver Overspeed Period Report

  • Log into the Smartrak Map site (NZ or AU)

  • Navigate to Reports

  • Select Driver Overspeed Period Report from the drop down list 

  • Select the "Date Range"

  • Decide if you want to select the following option;

    • "Show Daily Totals" - include a daily total by row for each day

    • Show Data With No Driver Recorded - when this option is selected the report will show data where no driver was recorded in Smartrak Pool Booking

  • "Persons" - You can select individual drivers by clicking on them to highlight from the list or click on Select All for all drivers (you can chose to include Username or not)

  • Select Download Report (to download into Excel) or View Report (to view on screen)

How to Read the Driver Overspeed Period Report

The following fields are reported:

  • Driver

  • Date

  • Resource Name

  • Rego

  • Started Speeding Time

  • Stopped Speeding Time

  • Duration (h:mm:ss)

  • Distance (km)

  • Percentage Distance Speeding

  • Minimum Speed (km/h)

  • Max Speed (km/h)

  • Average Speed (km/h)

  • Start Address

  • End Address

  • You can view that event for that driver by clicking on view on map

  • A total of Duration, Distance, Min Speed and Max Speed is provided at the bottom of the report

Please note - If your company is enabled for Posted Speed Limit – there will also be the following columns

  • Posted Speed Limit - speed limit for the road the speeding offence took place.

  • Max Overspeed Magnitude – amount in km/hr the driver is travelling above the posted speed limit.

  • Average Overspeed Magnitude – the average speed, above the posted speed limit, of the duration of the overspeed period.

  • A total of Duration, Distance, Max Overspeed Magnitude, Max Speed and Average Overspeed Magnitude is provided at the bottom of the report
