The Overspeed Period Report shows the individual periods where resources were speeding.

How to run the Overspeed Period Report

  • Log into the Smartrak Map site (NZ or AU)

  • Navigate to Reports

  • Select Overspeed Period Report from the drop down list

  • Select the "Date Range"

  • Select the “Type”, either One-off Report for ad hoc reporting, or Saved Report to set up a report to be emailed out to you on a regular cadence


  • Decide if you want to select the following option;

    • "Show daily totals row" - include a daily total by row for each day


  • Select the "Selection Mode" - reports can be configured to run on Individual Resources (select which vehicles to report on) or Groups of Resources 


  • "Resources" - You can select individual vehicles by clicking on them to highlight from the list or click on Select All for all vehicles.


  • Select Download Report (to download into Excel) or View Report (to view on screen)

Posted Speed Limit – speed limit for the road the speeding offence took place.


Max Overspeed Magnitude – amount in km/hr the driver is travelling above the posted speed limit.


Average Overspeed Magnitude – the average speed, above the posted speed limit, of the duration of the overspeed period.

  • You can view that event for that vehicle by clicking on view on map


  • A summary is provided at the bottom of the report.
