Overview

The InReach SE + is a rugged, satellite-based safety device for use in remote environments where cellular coverage is unavailable or unreliable.  The InReach SE + tracks the progress of the person carrying the device, providing visibility and peace of mind throughout the time spent in the field.  Tracking is automatically enabled when the device is turned on and polling happens every 10 minutes when moving, or every 60 minutes when stationary.  Moving is triggered when the carrier moves more than 50 meters.

To power on the InReach SE+ press and hold the Check / Power button for three seconds.  In an emergency, flip the SOS button cover on the right of the device to unlock the SOS button and press the button for three seconds and an alert will be sent.  The  InReach  SE+  home screen displays icons that you can select to perform tasks with the device including messaging, tracking, and SOS. Use the directional pad to make selections  The device is capable of sending preset messages via this shortcut button and the status light flashes green when there is a new message waiting. It flashes red when there is something important to see, like low power or a sending message delay.
