If you are booking in a vehicle for maintenance request or are receiving too many erroneous alert events you will need to undertake the following steps to disable the alert function of Accident Detection.

Log into the administration site at  https://admin.smartrak.co.nz (NZ) or https://admin.smartrak.com.au (Aus)

Navigate to the Alert tab at the Bottom of the menu bar.

Navigate to Accident Detection Status.

Or direct URL to the Accident Detection Status page.

https://admin.smartrak.co.nz/Alert/AccidentDetectionStatus.aspx

https://admin.smartrak.com.au/Alert/AccidentDetectionStatus.aspx

The page is for showing the current state of a unit's Accident Detection feature, and for disabling that feature if it begins to act in an incorrect fashion or you have booked the vehicle in with a Smartrak installer for maintenance

To use this feature, type in the registration of the vehicle you wish to disable Accident Detection alerts on, and click the "Disable Accident Detection Alerts" button.

This will disable Accident Detection alerts on this vehicle until it is next installed.

Once you have disabled Accident Detection alerts please navigate to the following address and create a maintenance request. Also please note in the comments that you have disabled Accident alerting.

https://smartrak.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3/create/15

When the vehicle has been revisited by a Smartrak Installer the Accident Detection status will be re-enabled automatically without user intervention.
