Emergency alerts when activated, require an predetermined action plan to be followed, these steps record what has occurred

When a driver activates their in-vehicle emergency dash switch, a vehicle is involved in a significant force event, or a person activates their personal locator device, a number of actions occur;

  • The Smartrak device recognises this signal and sends an emergency alert back to the main system (As long as the vehicle/device is within cellphone coverage, unless a satellite unit has been installed (not standard))

  • The alert will be displayed on the map screen for all users that have permission to view that vehicle/device.

  • Clear the emergency, the user who has determined why the alert was raised, will clear the event, records the action taken.
