What is Assigned Driver? | The Assigned Driver feature enables vehicles to be associated permanently with drivers and keep their driver behaviour records in the driver-based solutions (Reporting, Dashboard, and Insights). It allows Fleet Managers or H&S officers to proactively identify individuals who engage in risky behaviours and provide training and feedback in response. |
Driver Identification Hierarchy | Driver Periods have different priorities, based on their source:
A higher priority period will always override a lower priority period. Once the higher priority period ends, the lower priority will resume (if it can). If two periods overlap each other (for the same Driver and/or Resource), and both periods have the same priority, then the ‘normal' overlap rules apply. |
Important Note | Drivers will need to be created as People in Smartrak Admin before they can be assigned. Once they have been added as People, which is done either by creating them as a User in Smartrak or importing them in bulk, they will be available to select from the Dropdown as a Driver Please see this article which explains how Users and People work - Driver Based Reporting - Duplicate Users/Persons If you cannot see the “People” option in your Smartrak Admin account, please raise a ticket in the service desk here and we will enable this for you. |
How to access | The Assigned Driver is accessed through the Smartrak Admin website. After logon, click Manage > Drivers on the menu. |
