This article explains how an Administrator can add new a vehicle / device to the Keyless Admin. This will allow the vehicle to appear on the left-hand panel of the dashboard.
Via Keyless Admin
On the Vehicles page, click ‘Add a new Vehicle’
Select the Location from the drop down list and click ‘Set Location’ to lock it in
Enter the vehicle Rego - this should match what is stored in PoolCar in the ‘Vehicle Register’
Record the vehicle’s Make
This should be correct for future reference by both Smartrak and your staff in case of maintenance work on the vehicle
Record the vehicle’s Model
This should be correct for future reference by both Smartrak and your staff in case of maintenance work on the vehicle
Record the vehicle’s Colour
Record the vehicle’s VIN
This should be correct for future reference by both Smartrak and your staff in case of maintenance work on the vehicle
Record the vehicle’s Body Type
Enter the device’s IMEI / device ID. This can be located on the label on the device:
Click ‘Set Odometer’ to set the odometer on the device and in the Keyless Admin
Enter the odometer in Kilometres / Miles as a whole number (no decimal places)
Click in the ‘As At’ field and select the date of the odometer been read
Alter the time to match the time of the reading
Click ‘Done’ to save the ‘As At’ field
Click ‘Save’ to lock the odometer in
Click ‘Save’ back on the original form to add this vehicle and close the form
Alternatively click ‘Save and Add New’ to add this vehicle and refresh the form to add another
