How to Replace the Hubodometer via Fleet Servicing

If you fit a new hubodometer to a vehicle (more often a truck rather than a car or a ute), then you need to follow this process in order for RUC licences to continue to pull through from NZTA.

  • Log into the Smartrak Map (NZ or AU)

  • Navigate to Fleet Servicing

  • Click on Replace hubodometer

  • Select the Resource from the dropdown list

  • Enter the New Hubo value (in km)

    • Most likely will be 0 or very close to it, but with a second-hand hubo the reading may be much higher

  • Enter Replacement date and cost (cost is not a required field)

  • Click on Record hubodometer replacement

  • System will confirm with the green highlighted line below.
