How do I dispatch a location to a Garmin?



Dispatching a location to a Garmin Unit

  • Log into the Smartrak App site (NZ or AU)

  • Hover over the location you wish to dispatch to the Garmin

  • Right click on the location (opens the right-click menu)

  • Select Dispatch Location

  • Select the vehicle you wish to dispatch the location to (only vehicles with Garmins connected to the system will be available to select)

  • Check the address is correct and then click on Dispatch Location

On the Garmin

  • The location will be delivered to the Garmin (within a couple of minutes dependant on mobile coverage) and the driver will just need to open the flagged message on the Garmin and choose to be routed to that location.

On the Smartrak Map

  • On the Smartrak Map, you will see the different Location events as the location is sent, accepted and then completed.

Reporting

You can report on dispatched locations via the Dispatch Location Report

 

 

And the Activity Report with the Location events selected (please note Activity Reporting is limited to 7-days)
