Safety Features

Two vehicle-based safety features can also be enabled in conjunction with the AVL - Speed Monitoring & High Impact and Rollover.

• The High Impact and Rollover alert feature is intended to detect and report on vehicle collisions and rollover of such severity the driver may be rendered unable to communicate via normal means.  Alerts are sent via the cellular or satellite network.

• Speed Monitoring is designed to monitor driver behaviour and report on drivers that travel at speeds above the posted speed limit.  Speeding is not only dangerous, but it can affect fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance and company reputation.  Reporting can also support difficult conversations with bad drivers in your mobile workforce.  See Speed Monitoring Reporting Guides
