Vehicle Details Report & Groups Reporting

The purpose of this report is to provide a list of all your resources (vehicles) and the information held against them in Smartrak.

This report also provides the opportunity to sort the information by Groups.

How to download vehicles and their details

  • To go Reports > Vehicle Details Report

  • Click the box to Include Virtual (Optional)

  • Click Download Spreadsheet

  • The excel file shows the following information;

    • Resource Name - Name of the vehicle in Smartrak (can be up to 25 characters long)

    • Rego - Registration plate details if applicable. Some vehicles/machinery do not have registration plates so you may see this column empty or something such as 'TBA123' or 'NOREGO'

    • Device - Installed vehicles will be called TRAKWISE, Lite UMTS, Lite W/ Accel, etc. Vehicles no longer installed are VIRTUAL and are vehicles in Smartrak for Servicing only purposes

    • Serial - Installed vehicles will have a 15 digit serial number. Virtual vehicles and vehicles that used to have a unit installed will have a 5 digit number

    • Date Installed - Date and time that install took place, this can also be the most recent date the vehicle has been revisited.

    • State - Either Active or De-installed

    • Make, Model, Year - The details held in admin against the vehicle. If they are incorrect, they can be edited in Manage > Resource Info

    • Vehicle Type - Car, Trailer, Ute, Truck etc

    • Fuel Type - None (EV), Petrol, Diesel etc

    • Engine Type - Combustion Engine only, Electric Motor only, etc

    • Driver, Driver Phone Number - Driver name and phone number populated on the Smartrak map

    • Groups - All groups that the vehicle is assigned to

    • Iridium Device - Yes, No

    • Aerial Type - The aerial type of the vehicle, if one is present

    • Has iButton - Yes, No

    • Timed Relay - Yes, No

    • Garmin Setup - Yes, No

    • Dash Switch - Yes, No.  This is determined by checking whether Emergency Alert is set on Input 4

    • Inovonics - Yes, No.  This is determined by checking whether Emergency Alert is set on Input 2.  This may not always be accurate, depending on what kind of device in installed.  For example, a personal locator device has Emergency Alert set on Input 2, but does not have Inovonics, or MPI using Input 2 for an emergency for their radios.  The solution to this inaccuracy would be to create a flag in the database for whether a device has Inovonics, but this is sufficient for now.

    • Input 1,2,3,4 ON - What is set on Input 1-4 ON

    • Input 1,2,3,4 OFF - What is set on Input 1-4 OFF

    • Attributes - if any attributes are assigned to the vehicles, they will be displayed here in individual columns
