How to Set up Teltonika Modem for KeyMaster

Please follow these steps if you purchase a teltonika modem to be used for your key cabinet.

Prerequisites

Please note that the modem is already activated.

For a new modem supplied for an existing KeyMaster, you may need to insert sim and connect to cabinet and power, see the instructions below.

For a new modem supplied with a new KeyMaster, the sim should already be installed, you need to connect the modem inside the cabinet and to power.

Please ensure the modem aerial is mounted on the OUTSIDE of the cabinet. Best practice is on the top of the KeyMaster, as the base of the aerial is magnitised and will stick to the KeyMaster chassis.

 Instructions

  1. Once you receive the modem. Unscrew the screws to remove the cover.

  2. Pull the board and insert the sim in the slot

  3. Put the cover back and screw.

  4. Connect power cable that comes with the modem and the ethernet cable from the cabinet

  5. Connect the antenna that comes with the modem

  6. Plug power to socket. Check if cabinet connects to internet.

  7. On the Keymaster, navigate to Setup > Networking > Configure – DHCP should be ON

  8. Please note that the USB cable is not used in connecting to the Keymaster, this is only used to load settings.
