Adding new users to PoolCar - Non Single Sign On (SSO) Users.
There are two ways to add new users; individually or, for adding a large number of users, by uploading a file.
Loading Users Individually |
2. Click ‘Add User’ on the grey bar at the top of the page 3. Type in the user name, first and last names, email address, any additional roles they require (by default users are created without any elevated Roles assigned to them), and other details.
4. Click ‘Save’ Please note: If you assign elevated access to a user that gives them the role of Pool Officer or Pool Manager. This does not automatically grant them access to a Pool that they are administrating, this needs to be completed in Manage Pool Administrators. If you ever need to remove the elevated role, you can simply remove their role by un-ticking the box without having to go through and deleting their pool assignments. https://smartrak.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCP/pages/797442308 Adding a user to a pool as manager or officer will automatically give them the role and save admins time in ticking the box. |
Changing a General User to be a Finance Administrator, Report Administrator or System Administrator |
If you ever need to elevate a user’s access to be higher, or remove elevated permissions, you can do this in the Manage Users section of the Sysadmin Menu Menu. Simply select Edit next to the user record you wish to change. Make the required changes, by selecting the tick box next to Finance Administrator, Report Administrator, System Administrator and then Save the page, this will elevate their access to Sysadmin. Do the reverse for removing elevated access. Remember that this will not assign users as a Pool Administrator, this needs to be done via https://smartrak.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCP/pages/797442308 |
Bulk upload |
