How do I know what caused the Emergency Alert I can see?

Viewing and Identifying alerts on the map

Viewing and Identifying alerts on the map

  • When a device triggers an alert, the cause of the alert will show on the map under ‘Extra Info’

  • Select the resource on the map, and click History

  • Hover over or click the Emergency Alert event to see what triggered it (Example below was triggered by the Emergency Dash Switch)

  • If you see the name of a Geofence in the Extra Info box on an Emergency Alert, this means the vehicle has registered an event in an Alerting Geofence type

    • The Alerting Geofence can be set to alert on vehicle entry, exit or both

Alert Types can include:

  • Activity Outside Geofence

  • Device Tamper

  • Emergency Alert

  • Geofence Enter Alert

  • Geofence Enter Email

  • Geofence Exit Alert

  • Geofence Exit Email

  • Logon Timeout Alert

  • Low Battery

  • Significant Force (High Impact and Rollover)

  • Temperature Alert

To clear the alert, you must first Acknowledge the alert on the Current View

Once you have contacted the end user, you can then clear the alert with a message
