Purpose |

Employers pay fringe benefits tax (FBT) on certain benefits they provide to employees, such as use of a company vehicle for personal use. The FBT Report allows organisations to work out the FBT data for tax claims and is designed to accommodate the Australian FBT statutory method which is hard-coded in the system. The report is about the Fringe Benefit of having your vehicle at home with you. The bookings that apply are those where the vehicle was home garaged overnight. The report does require vehicles to have an FBT price entered in the Asset Register here:

How To Run The Report |

The FBT Report is only accessible to users with System Administrator access. This can be found under the Reports heading on your main menu. You can run this report based on driver or booking. By Booking: Shows each individual booking where the vehicle was home garaged and for how many nights. By Driver: Shows the total number of nights the driver had a vehicle home garaged. Filter your date range and enter either the registration number or driver. (Depending on which report you are running) Hit refresh to run the report. You can use the Export to Excel link in the top right corner to download the report. |
How To Read The Driver Based FBT Report |

Fleet ID: Unique identifier used in the background. When a vehicle is added it’s automatically given a fleet ID. This can not be changed from the front-end. Registration Number: Vehicle registration number Make: Vehicle make taken from the Asset Register Model: Vehicle model taken from the Asset Register FBT Value: The vehicles FBT value taken from the Asset Register Driver Name: Driver of the vehicle FBT Statutory Percentage: FBT Statutory Percentage taken from Application Settings. Nights Home Garaged: Total number of nights the driver has had the vehicle home garaged over the reporting period. Taxable Value: As per the ATO Statutory Method FBT Amount: As per the ATO Statutory Method Driver Cost Centre: Taken from the driver record in the Driver Register Driver Project Code: This is an optional field on the new booking window. If the field has been disabled then this column will still be visible but will be blank. Driver Home Campus: Only applicable if your organisation is using the Home Campus feature. |
How To Read The Booking Based FBT Report |

Booking ID: Unique booking reference number Fleet ID: Unique identifier used in the background. When a vehicle is added it’s automatically given a fleet ID. This can not be changed from the front-end. Registration Number: Vehicle registration number Make: Vehicle make taken from the Asset Register Model: Vehicle model taken from the Asset Register Driver Name: Driver of the vehicle Driver Email: Email address saved against the driver record Driver Phone: Phone number saved against the driver record Purpose/Destination: The purpose of the trip and destination entered by the driver at the time of booking. FBT Value: The vehicles FBT value taken from the Asset Register FBT Statutory Percentage: FBT Statutory Percentage taken from Application Settings. Booking Start: Booking start time Booking End: Booking end time NHG – Booking: Nights home garaged based on how many nights the vehicle was booked for. Checked Out: Time the booking was actually checked out Checked In: Time the booking was actually checked in NHG – Check Out/In: Nights home garaged based on how many nights the vehicle was checked out. Taxable Value: As per the ATO Statutory Method FBT Amount: As per the ATO Statutory Method Driver Cost Centre: Taken from the driver record in the Driver Register Driver Project Code: This is an optional field on the new booking window. If the field has been disabled then this column will still be visible but will be blank. Driver Home Campus: Only applicable if your organisation is using the Home Campus feature. Position as at midnight: Only applies if you have telematics installed in your fleet. This is the location as at midnight based on GPS. |
