Ensure staff can covertly activate a duress alert while driving if they feel unsafe.
The Illuminated Dash Switch is an accessory to the Smartrak AVL, providing an additional layer of safety for fleet drivers. An IP66-rated option is available for use in harsher environments.

How It Works
Activation
Press and hold the switch for 3 seconds
The light will glow red when activated
The light turns off once the alert is acknowledged
The vehicle must be in cellular coverage for the alert to be received
If the light remains red, the alert has not been successfully transmitted
System Behaviour
The switch sends an alert via the AVL device to the Smartrak system
The system can trigger:
SMS alerts
Email notifications
Alerts are sent to configured recipients in Smartrak Admin
Satellite Coverage (If Enabled)
With an Iridium satellite modem, the light turns off once the message is sent via satellite
This does not confirm delivery to the Smartrak system (no two-way satellite confirmation)

Use in emergency situations only
