What does a Battery Low alert mean?
Below is the process as it relates to an AVL installed in a vehicle, as the low battery alert is based on the voltage of the vehicle's battery, not the device's battery.
What is it? |

A Battery Low event may, from time to time, appear on your map screen. You can also configure low battery alerts to be sent to pre-configured recipients via email and/or text message. |
How does it work? |
When a battery in a vehicle is between a particular voltage level, a low battery event can be triggered and used to alert that a vehicle’s battery may need replacing soon. The low battery event is based on a Health Check event (which occurs every 4 hours in coverage area) and is based on the following voltage:
