July 2018 Releases
Our developers have been busily working on feature requests from the user community. We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a number of valuable feature improvements.
What is it? | How does this help you? |
---|---|
Job number field on booking form moved | Often users are required to enter both the cost centre and the related job or task number when making bookings. However, up until now these two fields were in different places on the booking form and sometimes the job number would be omitted. We have now grouped these fields together and renamed the “Job Number” field to “Job/Task Number”. This helps link the fields and uses terminology that is familiar, and enables greater accuracy in booking and costing data. |
Engine hours added to the Odometer at Time report export | Previously achieved by combining the Odometer at Time report with screenshots of the Fleet Servicing Resource overview page, this improvement centralises odometer / hubometer and engine hours readings for vehicles and machinery fitted with a Smartrak AVL into a single export. The improvement is retrospective and available to all client administrators. |
TrakSafe Mini battery life check | Smartrak have developed a new process to help diagnose TrakSafe Mini battery life much more easily. This will enable Smartrak Customer Service to diagnose battery issues faster and improve fault turn-around times for customers with TrakSafe devices. |
Device Health Report | Fleet Managers up until now had no easy way to determine if all of their AVLs were functioning correctly. A new report is now available that quickly shows Fleet Managers the health status of all of their tracking devices. This enables customers to ensure fleet tracking is accurate and fully operational, enabling them to perform initial diagnosis of faulty units without relying on Smartrak. |
Transfer all bookings from one vehicle to the other | A new feature has been added to the booking Plant Administration page which makes it simple for Booking Administrators to swap bookings to a new vehicle when a vehicle is sold or written off. It streamlines the process of transferring bookings to new vehicle into a single step process which is a great time saver. Any conflicts that would arise from transferring bookings to the new vehicle are not automatically transferred but are highlighted to be dealt with manually by the Booking Administrator. |
