How to log a Deinstalled Resource to change the status on the map

 

To remove a deinstalled resource from your users' permissions and Map views

To remove a deinstalled resource from your users' permissions and Map views

  1. Login to the Smartrak Admin site

  2. Go to Manage > Resource Info on the menu

  3. Navigate to the Log Deinstallation tab

  4. From this, you can select a Resource by Name or by Registration

  5. You also have the option to remove the permissions for all Map Users

  6. Click Mark as Deinstalled to finalise the Deinstallation

Note Doing this will set the State of the asset to De-installed. If you want to remove the asset from Map User’s view, you need to tick “Unassign unit from all map users?”

This is how you remove a deinstalled resource from your users in bulk, you still need to raise a ticket in the Smartrak service desk for the actual deinstall to take place, to remove the asset from billing or to remove it from Admin.
