Adding Vehicles to the Lease Register

A vehicle is added to the Lease Register in the Vehicle Register where a vehicle record has the 'Leased?' flag set to Yes.

In the Lease Register, you can enter the lease details such as term, lessor, etc.

How does this impact on the PoolCar system?

The Vehicle's display sequence is impacted by the information in the Lease Register.

There is a scheduled task to sort vehicles based on their lease utilisation. It calculates the days remaining in the lease, considers the estimated kilometers by the end of the term and changes the vehicle display sequence accordingly.

The automatic update of the display sequence is enabled via the Pools > Edit page on a Pool by Pool basis (for Pool Management. For Campus Admin customers, please contact Smartrak via the service desk to get this enabled).

Note the bulk load vehicles/assets uploader will automatically use the lease ending date as the 'Cannot be booked after' date.

Otherwise the information from the Lease Register is used for the Lease Snapshot and Replacement As At (Date) Reports.
