Overview

To provide passenger management capability, and support traceability and financial processes, by recording individual passenger movement and distance travelled. 

Please note that this is an additional paid feature.

Functionality & Features

  • Add/Edit Passengers for bookings on mobile devices

  • Record when a passenger is picked up and dropped off

  • Record the odometer at the time of pick-up and drop-off

  • Report on all passenger trips with pick-up times, drop-off times, and odometers

Problem Statement

  • NDIS (AU) providers cannot accurately claim transport costs for bookings with multiple passengers

  • Operations Managers are unable to contact trace passengers within vehicles for multi-passenger trips effectively

  • Accurate measuring of passenger usage of vehicles

  • Support NDIS providers claims for transport costs of NDIS participants for multi-participant trips

Caveats & Limitations

  • Utilises the existing Passenger Manifest functionality

  • Does not allow for a reference list of Passengers (master list)

  • Exists with the PoolCar mobile website, not the PoolCar smartphone app

User Stories

  • As a Driver I want to record via mobile access when I have picked up and dropped off a passenger that is recorded in my bookings Passenger Manifest

  • As a Driver I want to edit the passenger manifest of a booking via mobile access in case of cancellations or needing to edit passenger information

  • As a Driver I want to manually record the odometer at the time of pick up / drop off in real time to ensure customers without telematics can utilise this product

  • As a Finance manager I want to be able to report on passenger pick up, drop off and odometer in order to facilitate claiming costs from the NDIS
