Displaying Custom Fields on the Calendar

Displaying Custom Fields on the Booking Calendar

By default, the booking calendar shows basic booking details such as Purpose and Destination.

You can also display custom field values on the booking calendar.

How to Display Custom Fields on the Calendar

Custom fields are hidden by default.

To enable them:

  1. Go to SysAdminApplication SettingsCalendar

  2. Find “Custom Fields”

  3. Set this to Show

  4. Scroll down and click Save

Show or Hide Specific Custom Fields

Once custom fields are enabled on the calendar, you can control which ones appear.

To show or hide individual fields:

  1. Go to System AdminBooking Form Custom Fields (under System Data)

  2. Find the custom field you want to change

  3. Click Edit

  4. Tick or untick “Display on Calendar?”

  5. Click Save

Behaviour Based on Version

  • Enabled before v8.3.1 (March 2018):
    All custom fields are shown by default.
    You must untick fields you want to hide.

  • Enabled after v8.3.1 (March 2018):
    All custom fields are hidden by default.
    You must tick fields you want to show.

 

Hide Purpose and Destination on the Booking Form

If you are using custom fields, you may want to hide the default Purpose and Destination fields.

To do this:

  1. Go to Application SettingsBooking Form

  2. Set Hide ‘Purpose and Destination’ field on the booking form to Yes

Booking Receipt Emails

This setting does not apply to booking receipt emails.

All custom field values are emailed to the booking holder, even if:

  • The field is hidden on the booking form, or

  • The field is hidden on the calendar
