Vehicle Score Report
The Vehicle Score Report is an amalgamated report comprising scores for overspeeding & harsh driving events including harsh cornering, acceleration and braking, and long trip length above 5.5 hours with no 30-minute concurrent break period.
The Vehicle Score Report is an additional report which is not part of Smartrak’s standard reports, please contact your CSM to discuss enabling this for your organisation.
Please see this video for an overview of the report.
Vehicle Score Report Calculations
The trip length score is based on the following calculation:
Raw_score = max_allowed / max_recorded = 5.5 hours / x.xx hours = x.xxx | Weight_factor = 2 * long_trip_count (number of times the cumulative trip duration exceeded 5hr 30min without at least a 30min break between trips) / total_time_travelled = 2 * 1 / x.xx hours = x.xxx | Trip Length Score = raw_score – weight_factor = xx.xx% |
The overspeed score is based on the following calculation:
Raw score = Overspeed Threshold / Max Overspeed E.g. = 105kmph / 140kmph = 0.75 | Weight = 2 X Number of Overspeed Periods (found via the Overspeed Period and/or Severity Report) / Travel Distance (km) E.g. = 2 * 1374 / 154035.5 = 0.017 | Weighted score = Raw score – Weight E.g. = 0.75 – 0.017 = 0.733 (73.3%) |
The g-force score is based on the following calculation (calculated for left-turning events and right turning events separately, if either is not available, use 1.0):
Raw score = G-Force Threshold / Max G-Force E.g. = 0.60 / 0.62 = 0.9677 | Weight = 2 * Number of G-Forces / Travel Distance (km) E.g. = 2 * 20 / 1024 = 0.039 | Weighted score = Raw score – Weight E.g. = 0.9677-0.039 = 0.92.8 (92.8%)
Left Weighted Score + Right Weighted Score / 2 |
The colour coding is:
Green – Above 90
Yellow – Above 85, and up to 90
Red – Below 85
