Device Health Report

The Device Health Report shows the health status of the hardware device within each selected Resource.

Devices with a status of ‘Investigate Immediately’ should be reviewed as soon as possible, to ensure continued reporting and tracking accuracy.

Virtual resources, inactive resources, and resources flagged as having a master switch are ignored.

Here is the key for what vehicles are NOT included in the report - these will show under a subheading as Ignored with the reason in the details column

  • Resources tagged as virtual are not included. (These are records of historically tracked vehicles, i.e. sold/disposed of

  • Resources with a master switch are not included. Some type of equipment are fitted with master power cut-off switches. Either by the manufacturer or by the customer, independent of Smartrak. (Master switches can give false data against a vehicle not tracking)

  • Resources with a Device type of Trailer are not included

  • Resources with an Active State that is not 'Active' are not included

Please note:

Resources can not have talked for many reasons, from being in a underground carpark, or the resource has been unused for a while.

We suggest that you ask the driver to use the vehicle and check on the map whether the vehicle can be seen.
