People / Identifications etc - what does it all mean?
What are People? | A person can be a Person associated with an ibutton, and can be a Driver in the new Driver Based Reports, or a Driver or Passenger in Smartrak Pool Booking. A person requires the following unique information:

How are People created? | People can be created in the following ways:

How are People removed/archived? | People are removed from Smartrak Admin if they are deleted from Manage > People > Delete You cannot delete a person that is linked with a Smartrak user, this is managed in Manage > Users People can be removed/deleted in bulk using Manage > People > Import with the entire list of your current people listed in the import and a tick in the ‘full import box’, which will automatically delete all other people who are not in this list. If you wish to archive people and keep their records in the system, we recommend adding a label against their record that identifies them as no longer current (e.g. archived, removed etc) |

What are Identifications? | Identifications is the collective name for ibuttons, Smartrak Identify app, and other forms of identification. The current physical form of Identification that Smartrak offers, is the ibutton. |
How do I view existing Identifications? | Identifications (ibuttons) can be viewed via Manage > Identifications |
How are Identifications created/assigned? | Existing Identifications (ibuttons) can be assigned to existing people via Manage > People > Identifications New identifications (ibuttons) can be imported with new people via Manage > People > Import (new ibuttons can be purchased directly from Smartrak) |
How to delete or unassign identifications | Identifications can be revoked from Manage > Identifications *note, this will revoke the ibutton altogether, not recommended When an ibutton is assigned to another Person, this automatically ends the previous assignment If you click on Unassign under Stop, this will unassign the ibutton from the Person |
But I can’t see People!
