What is a g-force?
A g-force (gravitational-force) is a measure of acceleration (acceleration, deceleration, or turning) applied to the AVL unit installed in a vehicle.
G-force (accelerometer) sensors inside the AVL identify aggressive driving patterns, allowing organisations to implement efficient methods to at least reduce, if not put a stop to them altogether.
Monitoring and reducing g-force events can result in the following benefits:
eradicate causes of aggressive driving
reduce collisions
lower maintenance costs
prevent fuel wasting
improve driver safety
decrease your fleet’s environmental footprint
Available reports for g-force reporting in Smartrak include:
Vehicle Behaviour Report - Vehicle Behaviour Report
Vehicle Score Report - Vehicle Score Report (additional custom report - raise a ticket in the service desk to enable this report.)
